Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Senior Web Developer role located in Cairo, Egypt with AIG Group of Companies. The Senior Web Developer will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with back-end and front-end web development, programming, and web design. This includes creating and maintaining websites, coding, and testing web-based applications. The Senior Web Developer will also be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to enhance the user experience and achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities

- Design and manage the website’s Front End and Back End, including database and server integration.
- Establish and guide the website’s architecture.
- Perform hands-on development, testing, debugging, and ongoing maintenance of new and existing code.
- Ensure high performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, and search engine optimization (SEO) while maintaining a visually appealing UI/UX design.
- Help formulate an effective, responsive design and turn it into a working theme and plugin.
- Solve technical challenges for new features.
- Lead and Work closely with our team to develop and maintain our WordPress theme framework.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code as needed
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure front-end development meets design requirements.
- Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Back-End Web Development and Front-End Development skills
- Programming skills (particularly in PHP, Python, or Ruby)
- Web Development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
- Web Design skills and experience with design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, etc.)
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and adhere to coding standards
- Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Experience working in the oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, or industrial sectors is a plus
