The Company was established in 1/1/1983 following the declaration of Badr field in the Western desert as a commercial discovery. A development lease was granted according to the concession agreement (law no.99 for the year 1980) made by and between the Government of Arab Republic of Egypt, EGPC & Shell Winning (Presently known as Shell Egypt), on the basis that the Company will operate its activities on behalf of EGPC & Shell.
